About Anna Joy
Anna Joy Pham is a Vietnamese-American artist and educator based out of Fort Worth, Texas. Anna was the creative one in her family, as a child she was always writing short stories, playing the piano and violin, taking photos with her Kodak Star 110, and drawing portraits in her sketchbook. She received her BFA in Visual Communications from the University of Texas in Arlington and worked for eight years as a graphic designer and art director. She left the design field to concentrate on personal work as an illustrator and painter, as well as teach art at Trimble Tech High School. Anna's work is seen as whimsical, colorful and cozy but reveals a deeper story just underneath the surface. Her goal in her work is to be vulnerable, find beauty in the pain, and share with the viewer that they are not alone in their experiences. Anna is a Gold Addy Award winner and Silver Addy Award winner and her work has been exhibited in galleries around Dallas and Fort Worth and featured in the Star-Telegram, Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine, and One to Know Magazine.
When she is not creating, she is a single mom of 2 who loves to make her home cozy, wear colorful outfits, try to read through her huge stack of TBR, and become best friends with everyone she comes across.
